It has come to my attention that we are turning into petty squabbling again, people are taking exception to one or two posters, and singling them out, attacking them personally on many levels, subtly sometimes other times blatently.
THIS HAS GOT TO STOP!
The moderators do not want to spend all their waking hours keeping tabs on a few people, they also may want to post articles themselves and partake in other discussions instead they are left to clean up the mess that is left behind when people are squabbling.
If a poster annoys you, do not fan the flames, ignore them, if they attack you severely, make a note to the mods so they can move it, if they drop a subtle jab, rise over them and ignore it, grow a thicker skin.
I still refuse to add on an ignore modification to this board, it goes against all that we and especially Daavros has worked for, but people cannot resist the temptation to metaphorically "press the big red button".
This is a polite request to cease and desist all attacking on ALL poster no matter what you think of them, this is also a request to stop the complaining and whining about unfair moderation, remember all the mods and admins here do not get paid to do this, and are human and do have their own views and feelings.
if someone says that all you say is shit, then prove them wrong by research and quality rebuttles, do not whine about it and call them names back, it detracts from the overall quality of discussion points on the board.
We all have to make allowences, we are all from different political and social backgrounds, there are people the do rub us all up the wrong way, myself included, it is hard not to pick up on an open line given by someone you do not like, but please do try to resist for all our sanity!
I do not want to spend my days seperating children and sending them to the corners, I still maintain that all the posters here can and do contribute alot to the board, even the so called distruptive ones that tend to rub people the wrong way can make very valid discussion points, unfortunatly other posters tend to use their views as a platform for attacking the poster in some way, which is not fair or nice, even if the poster is acting like a total ass in some occasions, or has done in the past.
Let us try to start afresh, let us try to put all our previous disagreements aside, if you cannot do this, then please ignore the one(s) that are your bug bear.
If you do respond to one of their posts try to do it in a civil way I.E. no snide comments thrown in.
We all can have a joke, we all have a different sense of humour, and it is hard to see where another person is coming from sometimes.
In the hopes of not sounding corny or using a cliché (and failing miserably in the process) Tolerance is the key to peace, why don't we show our pathetic governments that all walks of life can actually get along for five minutes withoute fighting and being nasty!
