Berger and his lawyer said Monday night he knowingly removed the handwritten notes by placing them in his jacket, pants and socks, and also inadvertently took copies of actual classified documents in a leather portfolio.

"I deeply regret the sloppiness involved, but I had no intention of withholding documents from the commission, and to the contrary, to my knowledge, every document requested by the commission from the Clinton administration was produced," Berger said in a statement.



So according to Fox News Sandy admits stuffing the notes all over his body. But the documents he stole were an accident so he says. Right Sandy!

But apparently some democrats have not yet read the news reports of Sandy admitting to it all. They claim a right wing conspiracy once again.

This 9/11 commission is a joke. First we have Jamie Gorelick, a member of the commission writing that now famous document raising the legal wall between intelligence agencies being glossed over. Now Sandy Berger heisting classified documents out of the National Archives. How many other Clinton cronies are trying to cover things up?

This is a conspiracy, a left wing conspiracy.

I read about this in the paper this morning.

There was no mention of him putting documents in his socks. (looks like fox is at it again! :bleh)

Also, if had "stolen" the documents don't you think he would have been charged?

It seems what is at issue is how he carried them out, stuffed in his shirt and pants, I apologize for the sloppiness of it. Then the ones he "inadvertently" had in his leather portfolio.

Funny you don't include the whole article which states that government officials and congress aren't sure if he should face criminal charges.

But then that would make it appear that this wasn't that big of deal.

Which is bad. Bad if you're out to promote a political agenda, but FOX isn't in that market is it.......

Fox news did not stuff anything into Sandy;s statement. A worker at the National Archives is reported as saying he also stuffed hand written notes in his socks. Please not in my original quote of the FOX article there are quotes around what Sandy said.

But hey if you want to bash FOX NEWS be my guest. They were dead on with the story. The FBI is still investigating the case and they have yet to interview Sandy Burger. Normally the FBI does not interview the person under investigation until their investigation is almost complete. Sandy is hardly out of the woods on this one.

Yet the democrats have all but beatified him as Saint Sandy putting him right up there with Saint Mother Teresa Heinz. But as you can plainly see from this picture of the Clinton National Security team they heard no evil, saw no evil and spoke no evil. All except Sandy who fingered himself.
