Board upgrade 2.08

Within the next 24 hours I will be upgrading the board from version 2.06 to 2.08.

While this means very little to most people here, it should tighten up a few security holes that were around regarding persmissions and posting rights and a slight modification of the code to speed up some aspects of the board although this may not be immediatly noticable... especially in times of high traffic.. but every little helps right?

When i perfom the upgrade... the board will be placed in MAINTENANCE MODE meaning no one can post or view the board while i am upgrading... this is a saftey feature to prevent the Databse being corrupted as it is modified.... and to prevent the pages from being locked while i upload them.

the whole process should take approximatly 10 minutes all going well and the board should be up and running again in perfect order..

should you have any bugs please post them in the members feedback area so i can address them and fix them.

i will give 1 more warning in World Events when i am about to switch to maintenance mode so you can finsih what you are posting and log out.

the upgrade will be perfromed at 11 pm CDT ( thats about 6 hours behind GMT Daylight)

i will be making the board unusable for the persiod of the backup ( hopefully about 10 mins)
