Where's your pro-Bush site, kram? I mean, you want to be fair and balanced.
Don't you?

Would they list his lies and deceptions? Hmmm. I'm trying to figure out what has IMPROVED in this country or the word under Bush/Cheney/PNAC? And, please don't tell me we are safer now..... geez. only the very naive and the very ignorant could believe that by now.
But.. I'm waiting for one person to tell me what could be said. The only things that Bus supporters can do is knock Kerry...they cannot show a single aspect of life that has improved....(unless they're in the top one percent of the wealthy, or on the extreme Christian right hoping to damn all gays and pro choice people to eternal damnation.)

Welcome growler.
I use that line everywhere. Even in "real life": What has Bush done RIGHT?!?!
Even Republicans cannot answer quickly, if at all. And when they do, it's some lame "He invaded Iraq" (Bush's WORST failure), or "He cut taxes" (resulting in RECORD deficits), etc, etc.
Bush has done NOTHING right. NOTHING is going as it should.

Do any of you guys, republicans or democrats, have anything POSITIVE to say about the guy you're going to vote for rather than just attacking the guy you don't want to win?

Simple...
Something positive about John Kerry....
He's NOT George W Bush...
Krammie...your next ;)
Seriously..
I am voting for John Kerry because first of all I am a democrat..I may split my ticket..but for President I am going for the selected candidate...
I am not going to label myself as moderate...liberal.. centrist..whatever ...
I find a lot of what the Dems had said is thier platform I hope they can implement..
Health Care..Jobs... PEACE...
These are the things I can see my choice in November going to the Kerry/Edwards camp... also because I feel Edwards will make a fine VP to balance out John Kerry's stiff style..

The same people who were so positive that catching Saddam somehow made us safer are now concerned about how vulnerable we are to an attack before the election.
Seems to me we are either safer and less vulnerable or we ARE NOT any safer, in which case the entire Iraq thing was a waste.
Past that, many ask the question, "Would you prefer Saddam still be in power?" To which I answer, "If it meant that we had not diverted resources from Al Qaeda and at this point in time we had successfully destroyed Bin Laden and Al Qaeda, you're damned right I'd rather we left Saddam where he was.
Given that Saddam was nowhere near being able or inclined to attack us, and given that he had no nasty weapons to give to any terrorist group, invading Iraq did NOTHING to make us safer from terrorist attacks.
Past this, Bush has made decisions that are bad for our environment, bad for future budgets, and bad for future Americans. He's pulled us out of a number of things prior president's agreed to. Even if some of these were bad things to be in, he has shown the world that the word of America is only good until the next election; that cannot be a good thing.
Further, while he's claiming victory in Afghanistan, we get reports that Al Qaeda training camps are back up and running there.
I'm hard pressed to think of anything I can give him a positive grade on or anything he's said that has turned out to be truthful.
I'd really be interested in something concrete that would be a good thing Bush has done during his presidency.
Further, while he's claiming victory in Afghanistan, we get reports that Al Qaeda training camps are back up and running there.
Total BULLSHIT jdanton ;) I DEMAND if we're going to give credit where credit is due............you MUST mention that Afghanistan is now back in the #1 slot as the producer and grower of poppies. Well, that is until Bush gave them the idea to pay the farmers to burn down their poppy fields...........then MORE Afghans figured out...hey good money, don't have to worry about export, think I'll grow some :/

I just wanted to hear that somebody out there actually had a positive reason to give a candidate their support. You have restored a little bit of my faith.
:cheers
Ah, but have they actually SAID how they were going to perform this miracle? If so I've missed it.

Very good point, lily, but I'm not going to go there. I'm just overjoyed to see an american voting for someone because they believe in them.
.........and I'm still looking for someone to vote for :wave

I do have some faith...it's that or being depressed about the past 3 1/2 years...
I also believe Illinois will have 2 Dem senators this fall...which will help a little...
I think a lot of people will hop over to whatever other side they voted for last time because of pure disgust... you had a republican Congress and SEnate and truthfully It has weakened this nation by SPEND SPEND SPEND... something that has ALWAYS been blamed on the Democrats...Funny how a Democratic president can actually balance a budget WITH a Republican house .
I am hoiping beyond hope that my choices this fall help to make America the "United States" once again...where I can hold my head up high knowing that maybe the world does not completely hate our guts...Perhaps the Sudan might get some help ...perhaps Iraq will be magically transformed into a Democracy...Maybe Job growth might end up being a JOB related economic growth...actual jobs not a jobless and short lived recovery...
Can Kerry/ Edwards do this???
I dunno..:dunno but I would like to give them a chance...not just for myself but for my children ...who are going to have to clean up this mess if we suffer through another 4 years of a dishonest and coniving administration...
Not sure if this will restore any more hope Matthew...but it is how I truelly feel...

Anytime someone votes believing in their heart of hearts they're doing what's right and moral, I think the world is a slightly better place. Even if I don't agree with that person's politics, at least I can respect them for doing what they think is right for the world. You're cool in my book, Goddess.
