The Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 is scheduled to sunset in September. Senator Feinstein has introduced a bill to extend the ban which prohibits the sale/import/manufacture of 19 different semi-automatic firearms (not machine guns or fully automatic rifles -- which were effectively banned in 1934), unless those firearms were manufactured before the ban. It also prohibits the sale/import/manufacture of magazines holding more than 10 rounds, unless those magazines were manufactured prior to the ban.
