I just can't resist these controversial polls. I've worn both most of my life, I presume cowboy boots and rubber boots count as slip-ons. I've worn those a lot. We called the rubber boots "irrigators" because we wore them to irrigate the fields, but later, when I worked underground, they had steel toes and we called them muckers. Wore the cowboy boots to dances and for show. Wore loafers when I sold cars, wear lace-up high-top, steel-toe boots at work and runners for casual wear. Summer is here so I'm wearing velcro-strap sandals a lot and slip-on thongs around the house. A few weeks ago, I was wearing high-top hikers on vacation. I'm just tough to categorize!
