This is an important poll for male posters. Females may join in, I suppose, as long as they accept that their kind of shaving is not the serious, every day in life unless you want a complete change of appearance, whether I can be bothered or not, kind.

I hate it!(but I do it anyhow). I've been using a Philshave for about 49 years, since I was 18 in the U.S. Navy. I don't bleed so much with it. Since I go to work in a remote camp site, I sometimes skip a day or two mid-week (who is gonna notice?).

Two weeks ago I bought a cordless for the first time and really like it.

i cheat i use the electric for hte most part... simply coz i couldn't find my razor oafterthe move.. i have it now... but since i appear to have broken out in ZITS i will not use a saftey or anything else!

tho i use a mach 3 on the occasion i tend to find the first blade chops the hair in half the other blade removes the hair completely anbd the third blade scrapes the top 3 layers of flesh from my face... i have tried all manner of foam and soap... the best stuff i have found is some ladies legs shaving foam (a loverly pair smell too!) damn stuff lubricates like teflon and keeps my face silky smooth with little if any razor burn even with the mach 3 stripper! (these chicks are onto something with their shaving stuff!)

i found my old sensor excell today... shame the blades are like $20 for 4 or somethign ridiculous!

Actually,
if your wife/partner uses your razor
then you can legitimately borrow her conditioner,
which gives a very close result.

if your wife/partner uses your razor

Your face then gets cut to ribbons the next time you use it :eyes

Well, I shave my legs and pits every single day.... so I think I have some say in this poll too. It's not like we don't cut ourselves shaving, too!

Gillette Sensor Excel (safety razor) and Soap.

I've used the Gels, but for as much as I shave, they are too expensive to use all the time. They're nice tho - and leave my legs silky smooth. Soap works fine with lots of lotion applied liberally afterwards.

I hate shaving... I'm allergic to most shave creams and gels... and I have to be particular about soap too...

When I feel up to tolerating the irritation for a day or so, to avoid shaving for a couple of weeks, I'll use a chemical depilitory which gets all the hair off my legs, and keeps them smooth for a while.

or I sometimes "borrow" the electric razor for my legs... and use natural unscented soap with no dyes, etc with a standard ladies razor... for my under-arms

once in a grat while I'll find a bath product which doesn't irritate my skin and use that with a ladies razor

Well, just to shake things up a bit... I encourage all females not to shave! I wax... and it just makes more sense. You can shave every day or wax once every six weeks! So, unless shaving is that fun, why not wax?

The mach3 has become outdated ( I used one for many years )

Behold the future of comfortable shaving!

http://www.gillette.com/images/products/m3wholeimage.jpg

Gillette M3Power -- a MACH3 innovation -- is a groundbreaking, powered wet shaving system for men that delivers a totally new shaving experience resulting in Gillette’s best shave ever.

M3Power builds on the heritage of MACH3 and combines Gillette’s latest and best razor and blade technologies. M3Power outperforms all other blades and razors in closeness, comfort and safety during and after the shave.

Gillette M3Power features other innovations beyond power: new blades featuring PowerGlide™ -- an enhanced blade coating for incredible glide and maximum comfort, a moisturizing Indicator® Lubrastrip™ and a technologically-advanced handle.

Features and Benefits:
• Gillette M3Power features Micro-Power™, a gentle pulsing action powered by a Duracell AAA battery.
• The pulsing action stimulates hair upward and away from the skin, making it dramatically easier to shave more thoroughly in one easy power stroke.
• The blades are enhanced by a new coating process, called "thin uniform telomer," which provides a perceptible improvement in shaving comfort throughout the life of the blade.
• The blade cartridge features an Indicator® Lubrastrip™ infused with Vitamin E and Aloe for added moisture.
• A new handle features strategically-placed gripping surfaces that enable men to shave confidently and safely at any angle. The power button is centrally located on the handle for maximum control, and the Duracell AAA battery is easy to insert and replace.
• The razor is shower-safe, allowing a man to shave wherever he prefers.

I was a skeptic at first, infact I thought it was a silly idea, but WOW it works great!

Just be warned it costs even more than the regular Mach3... it's worth it though!
