The Poetry of Donald Rumsfeld (http://www.stuffedpenguin.com/rumsfeld/index.html) is a disarmingly funny set of songs that use for their lyrics the exact words of the U.S. Secretary of Defense. Written by San Francisco composer Bryant Kong, the songs are based on direct quotes from Rumsfeld’s Pentagon briefings and other public statements. These texts were arranged into poems by columnist Hart Seely and published in a popular Simon & Schuster book in 2003....

The Situation

Things will not be necessarily continuous.

The fact that they are something other than perfectly continuous

Ought not to be characterized as a pause.

There will be some things that people will see.

There will be some things that people won't see.

And life goes on.
