I miss her.

I believe she has been posting on Facts & Fun a lot recently. Probably put off my the recent influx of new posters we experienced on EZBoard. She did pop in a couple of times over the last few weeks, but didn't post.

So how do we get her back?

Dave

You could PM her. I have mailbombed the membership a couple of times in the last few days informing them of the move etc. Any more and I think they will get my email address blackholed.

It hopefully will be more meaningful and civil on here than the last couple of months on EZBoard have been, if that's the case I can't see her not wanting to return.

I am just glad you made it over Zan... It may take the rest of them some time....Once they start getting withdrawls...;)

Does it have to be totally meaningful and witty?
All the time?

On your decision to leave ezbored.....I definitely approve.

Although I enjoyed my time with the ez-crowd, it seemed very difficult to have even a semi-rational discussion of anything without an overload of pointless name-calling taking over. Too many insecure children & hacker-wannabe's with personal problems.

I was just referred to your fine forum by my friend, Insanedawg.

I'm not what you would call an "active" poster, dividing my time between work, intense study, and fatherhood, but I will continue to drop by as long as the interactions in your topics interest me.

Be well. :wave

Is that true, CW?

I am notoriously thin skinned and unforgiving,
but even I have accepted yr style, kinda.

Why? This makes no sense. If she doesn't like your posts, CW, she should simply ignore them.

I have not noticed anyone here "ganging up" on Whiniape. As far as I have seen and remember, she has always been treated with courtesy, and especially her posts about American Indians have enriched the board, because no-one else paid as much attention to this issue as she did.

I would conclude that her remark about not wanting to post where you post must be a pretense for something else. Oh well. Everyone must decide for him- or herself. Too bad. I liked her posts, but I sure also like yours.

Thank you. I can't figure it out. I replied to a message on a long-thread on Facts and Fun ... and she told me to 'not start this shit here' ... in a post ... then sent me a message stating,
"i hope you got your fix of totally misrepresenting that i was trying to say and commenting in the exact way i said was the reason i stopped posting at the other forum. stay there...thats what most who were posting there are good at.

you all can continue talking in circles."
And yes, that's an accurate/exact/word-for-word quote.

I think ya' all know I don't like upsetting people ... spirited discussion, absolutely! ... but creating intentional personal-crisis? Hell NO!

I loved Wihinape's posts. I learned allot from her and we've had marvelous discussions. I know not what occurs within her persona life, but, frankly, it can't be good, IMO ... which I hope is wrong, wrong, wrong, and it was just a really bad day or something.

Like I said, I can't figure it out ... and I'm about the least 'insensitive' person I know.

My most profound and sincere apologies to each and all for having ANYTHING to do with depriving you all of interaction with this wonderful poster. I do indeed hope she returns and lets by-gones go bye-bye.

Actually,
I don't know if anyone remembers but I posted a photo of an Indian bead work jacket that was in my family.
I have recently, by chance, found out that it is indeed Iroquois beadwork, probably from around the Niagara region.
It was made for tourists, but that doesn't lessen its quality and historical interest, in my eyes, anyways.

Be good if Wihinape came back to hear the news.

CW,
is this why you have adopted part of her post as a sig, on EZ board?

No. The words are beautiful ... it's a beautiful sentiment. It is quoted in the 'Thread Hall of Fame.'

And, yes, I've told her many times. Again, I'm the 'scapegoat,' IMHO, and know not what
occurs in her life. I miss her posts and insights as well, and have personally PM'd her, then
got the above shot-between-the-eyes in reply. I don't take anything I read personally ... so
it's a bit of a mystery to me too. I'm chalking it up to 'bad day.'

I just hope, regardless of where she is or what she does ... she is happy.

Well, CW, I'll try and help ya with how to handle the more sensitive lady types..
I think she may take that sig line as a dig at her.
Just a guess.

I like Wihinape's contribution too. However we cannot please all here and we do welcome everyone.

Hopefully one day we can welcome her back.
