I would be curious to know what race or ethnicity comes to mind when you hear the the the term "inbred hick"?

I tend to agree with free that it's more snobbery than anything. I've never heard of anyone having to ride in the back of the bus or be denied civil rights because they are "hicks".

No....the family is very nice though. Mr. Hicks travels the world and has some wonderful stories to tell over a budweiser and a joint. He was at Woodstock and has an incredible collection of music.

Well then you are half right. I will not apologise for the immigrant joke as there was no malicious intent of any kind. I was merely sharing something that made me laugh. Being "new" here I was unaware of any boundaries and in fact thought there were none after reading a few of Spyder's posts.

Regarding my post stating "give me a fucking beaner break", it was "mean spirited" and for that I must and do apologise.

I'm still reeling from the vehement attacks resulting from that post. Other members of this forum responded with slurs, photographs and comments that were just as bad in my view. I'll take it on the chin since I was the original perpetrator of this entire imbroglio.
