It's coming up folks. Make up your mind time.
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#I'll be doing my civic duty by staying far, far away from the polling booths. Does that come under "other"?#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Only if you bothered to register to vote...
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#In that case, no.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#Not to compromise the secret ballot or anything, but who voted for other and which other did you have in mind? I'm just curious.#ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#
I voted and I don't live there.......does my vote count?

lily - if you mean you are a british citizen, you don't live here but you just voted today - yes, your vote counts. If you are an american citizen and you live in the states and you voted in THIS thread.....
I'd guess that identifies you as the one who voted "other!" ;)

It's only 16.43 yet Potter, another 5 hours and 17 minutes till the voting booths close. BBC is just showing the same election front page it started the day with.
#ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#What you don't have exit polls?#ed_op#IMG src="http://politicsandcurrentaffairs.co.uk/Forum/richedit/smileys/Teasing/18.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl#No infanite, I voted Labor.........that's Blair, right? I like him....he can actually think on his feet. But now that it's all over.......do you on the other side of the pond feel left out? You didn't have your own section.#ed_op#IMG src="http://politicsandcurrentaffairs.co.uk/Forum/richedit/smileys/Thinking/4.gif"#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#DIV#ed_cl##ed_op#/DIV#ed_cl#

Lily... you mean there's still life across the big pond in the old world?
I'm telling you Cocky.........I've become more and more impressed with them guys over there.........they spare no punches.........I mean they don't even screen the crowd before letting Blair speak..........and the press actually askes him QUESTIONS. It's amazing!!!!! And they get away with it :cheers

Perhaps Lily. It seems to me that the Hollywood (limelight) mentality has a much more firm grip on American society at-large than it seems to have overseas. I know here in the US I place the blame on parents who use the television as the babysitter, and kids who grow up literally addicted to the boob-tube. Not sure how different it is overseas, but I'm betting the tele isn't nearly as pervasive as here.
As I haven't registered to vote as an ex pat I have been unable to vote. That said I am praying Howard doesn't get in through the back door.

Doesn't look like he will, Daav. Looks like Blair is in for another term.
Actually Cocky what I was getting at was how different they treat their leader than we do here. We could use a little more of that here.
On second thouhgt, the way Bush "thinks on his feet", maybe it's better we don't. Too embarrissing.
Is Howard the guy with the pink shirt that I saw skipping?
You really have ONLY 30 days of campaining?

the only bit you were misled on lily, however some of the guests turned around and bit Blair and Howards bum once the cameras started rolling.

Almost correct, there was some unnoffial electioneering for a month beforehand and then when the Pope died they had an official break.
Infanite......that really amazes me! :wave
